Treatment here is hands-on, helping to maintain and restore optimum movement and functional ability to your body.
About Your Treatment
Your first consultation will consist of a thorough history-taking and physical examination. A treatment plan will be formulated to cater for your specific needs. Subsequent visits will include an evaluation of your progress, the treatment plan may be altered as a result. Therapy is never forced and is always designed to take account of you alone.
The number of treatments will depend on many factors including the severity of the problem, the length of time you have had the problem and your own rate of healing.
As part of the treatment, you will be shown remedial exercises. This gives you control over your own healing and will speed the healing process. If for any reason you cannot do the home exercises, be sure to discuss this with Helen – perhaps another approach can be found.
You will be advised of precautions you should take to avoid recurrence of the injury.
Where necessary, you will be referred to your GP or other Health Professionals. If appropriate, you will be asked to go for further investigation such as X-ray, MRI, DXA scan, blood test etc.
Call for an assessment and treatment as soon as possible. Early treatment is important in order to minimise damage and have you back in action as soon as possible.
If you have any queries about your treatment, please do not hesitate to call.
